Three ways to stay safe

Protection that fits the moment

Quietly on all day, shared for one trip, or loud when you need help. You choose how much Koyantaw does.

Guard Mode

One tap. Protected until you say stop.

Tap the shield and Koyantaw starts watching in the background. Your contacts hear that you're protected, and they're alerted only if something looks wrong.

  • Private by default. Your contacts never see where you are, even during an alert.
  • Crash detection. A sudden stop at speed alerts your saved contacts automatically.
  • Stays on. Protection runs until you turn it off, not when you close the app.

WatchMeOver

Let them follow your trip, live.

Heading home late? Pick a destination and the people to share with. They watch you move on the map and know the moment you've arrived.

  • Live map and ETA for the contacts you choose, just for this trip.
  • Checkpoint updates with the road you're on, so they're never guessing.
  • Signal-loss alerts if your phone goes quiet mid-trip.
Panic Mode

Help, in a single press.

If you feel unsafe, Panic Mode sends an SOS with your exact location to every emergency contact at once, and can sound a loud siren to draw attention.

  • Instant push alerts to everyone in your safety network.
  • Live location so they can find you or send help.
  • Private panic code needed to stop the alert, so no one else can cancel it.
Working while you're not looking

Smart alerts, without lifting a finger

Koyantaw does the worrying in the background, so you can keep your eyes on the road.

Crash detection

A hard stop from road speed, or a sharp impact, triggers an automatic alert to your contacts. No tap needed.

Signal-loss alerts

If your phone stops checking in mid-trip, your contacts are told, and told again when you're back.

Checkpoints & detours

Progress updates with real road names, plus a heads-up if you go off route.

On your lock screen

A Live Activity on iPhone and a live card on Android keep your status in view.

Your safety network

Add family and friends once. They're ready the moment you need them.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is Koyantaw free?

Yes. All the safety features, Guard Mode, WatchMeOver and Panic Mode, are free to use.

Do my contacts need the app too?

To see your live trip and receive instant push alerts, your contacts should install Koyantaw and sign in. Adding them to your safety network takes a few seconds.

What's the difference between Guard Mode and WatchMeOver?

Guard Mode is all-day, one-tap protection: your location is never shown to anyone, and contacts are alerted only if something goes wrong. WatchMeOver is for a single trip: the contacts you pick can follow you live on a map until you arrive.

Will it drain my battery?

Koyantaw is built to run in the background on long commutes. It only sends location while protection or a trip is active, and stops the moment you turn it off.

What happens if I lose signal?

If your phone stops checking in during a trip, Koyantaw tells your contacts. When you're back online, they're told that too.

Does it work in Myanmar?

Koyantaw was designed in Myanmar for everyday commutes in Yangon, Mandalay and beyond, and works anywhere you have a mobile connection.
